The core of Giga-International’s office!
Motivated by the article „When data center cabling becomes art” I don’t want to withhold our “work of art” from you any longer – the internal office network of Giga-International. This is only for our office, the network cabling of our datacenter would not fit on a few pictures.
The heart of our office is hiding behind a small store room.

A fritzbox?

As we all know: The size tells us nothing about the hugeness of something 🙂

@ Maximilian: You have a keen eye, that’s a FRITZ!Box indeed. It is used as one of the office backup lines and for certain test scenarios. It has not disappointed, yet.
This could be the start of a whole new idea: We post a set of network devices and the first reader who can name the brand and model receives a small prize :-). The fact that you recognized it even though it is only shown from the back is impressive. Hats off to you, sir!

Weiter so.
@Mike

Let me emphazize one more thing: These pictures indeed only show the cables and switching of our office network. All the servers (including those used for our office managment), the carrier switches etc. are in our datacenter, one level beneath, of course =)
